The I-REC Accredited Registry (Evident) is getting a major upgrade, and that's good news for renewable energy markets in Oman and globally.
Three Pillars Consulting (TPC) is the accredited I-REC Issuer for Oman, which means we sit at the heart of registering renewable energy projects, verifying production data, and issuing the certificates into the registry, ultimately allowing organizations to make credible renewable energy claims for their Scope 2 Emissions.
Earlier this month, announcements were made to migrate the Evident Registry to Xpansiv's next-generation platform, following Xpansiv's acquisition of Evident late last year.
For the global I-REC market, this is a significant infrastructure upgrade. The combination, along with Xpansiv’s North American Renewables Registry (NAR™) and Tradable Instrument for Global Renewables Registry (TIGR™), creates one of the world's largest EAC networks, with over 300 GW of registered capacity and participation from more than 4,000 companies.
Xpansiv brings with it exchange infrastructure, multi-registry connectivity, and institutional backing from names like Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, and Aramco Ventures. The I-REC ecosystem is moving onto a platform built for the scale and sophistication that global renewable energy markets now require.
For Oman specifically, this is a meaningful step forward. Omani I-RECs, issued by Three Pillars Consulting, will now sit on infrastructure with greater liquidity, international visibility, and transactional reach. Global demand for renewable energy tracking is surging, driven by electricity consumption from data centers, electric vehicles, and industrial users. And for Oman, with its growing renewable energy capacity, is well positioned to serve that demand with credible, internationally recognized certificates.

Your access rights and organizational structure remain the same. What's improving is the technology behind the scenes, including upcoming support for granular (hourly) certificate issuance, which represents the next frontier for high-integrity renewable energy claims.
