What Is an EnMS (ISO 50001) ?

An EnMS is a framework that companies and organizations can use to identify and adopt energy-saving opportunities. Essentially, an EnMS involves developing and implementing an energy policy for the company, setting achievable targets for energy use, and designing action plans to reach and measure progress.

How Long Does It Take to Implement an EnMS ?

On average, to have an effective EnMS, it will take approximately 9 to 12 months to implement. This includes Bot the Stage 1 and Certification Audits. Certification Audits need to be done by a Certification Body that has been accredited by an International Accreditation Body for ISO 50001.
