the interns' role will be
researching, collecting, and compiling data that will feed into our
projects.

Position to support the company with both quantitative and
qualitative tasks. Much of the
interns' role will be researching, collecting, and compiling data
that will feed into our
projects. The intern will mainly contribute by working on small to
medium sized tasks. The
candidate should be able to demonstrate good ability to prioritize
and organize themselves
amongst several competing tasks in a timely and effective manner.
The Scopes of work will involve researching and synthesizing
information related to
environmental impacts of projects. Impacts will range from carbon
emissions and non-carbon
air pollutants to energy consumption, and waste management. Ideal
candidates will be
familiar with both International and Domestics Regulations and
Policies related to Cliamte
Change, GHG Emissions, Sustainability, Life-Cycle Assessment and
Environmental Impact
Assessments.
Specifically, the candidate should have core knowledge on the GHG
Protocol Corporate
Standard, GHG Protocol Product Standard, Science Based Targets
Initiative, ISO Net Zero
Standard, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, Product-Level
Regulatory Standards (e.g.
Hydrogen Related Standard such as US IRA, EU RFNBO, etc.), as well
as the scientific
guidance on climate change such as the IPCC 1.5 and 2.0 Pathways.
The intern will occasionally support the company by attending
meetings with clients (both
in-person and virtual), taking Minutes of Meetings, and similar
tasks.
Technical Requirements
Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering,
and/or other
sustainability-related field from an accredited 4-year
university or
college.
Good quantitative reasoning abilities, statistical analysis, and
proficient
knowledge of MS Excel is a must.
GHG Protocol, ISO 14040, ISO 14064, ISO 14067, ISO 50001, SBTi,
IPCC, and
other similar disciplines.
Duration & Location
The duration of the internship will be for 6-months with the
possibility of
rolling this into a fullt-ime contract (but based on performance and
evaluation
of the internship period). Working hours will be from 8:30am-5:00pm
daily and
the intern will work from our offices in Muscat, Oman.

to support our company's development of web-based desktop and mobile
applications.
We are seeking to fill the
role for 1 Vacant Softawre Engineering Intern / Web Developer Intern
to support our company's development of web-based desktop and mobile
applications.
The Scope of Work for this position involves managing existing
applications that are already developed or under development as well
as the development of entirely new applications. Most of our
applications are built on low-code platforms such as Caspio, with
integrations through Zapier and Make.
Thus, the applicant should have a good understanding of low-code
Platform as a Service providers and how they operate. The applicant
should also have a good understanding of Relational Databases and
SQL.
Additional qualifications include having general software
engineering experience / knowledge with PHP, JavaScript, REST API
Development, and others. The applicant should have the ability to
analyze complex technical information related to both the software
itself but also the data/content that is utilized by the
software.
The applicant will also be responsible for maintaining and
developing Front-End solutions. Such work will involve working with
Bootstrap v5.0, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Less, Sass, and similar
web-development languages. Particularly, the applicant will need to
understand and be able to link Caspio's formatting capabilities with
the Bootstrap framework applied to our applications.
Duration and Commitment
The duration of the position will be for 6-Months (with
possibility of extension based on performance). Working hours
will be from 8:30am-5pm daily and the intern will work from our
offices in Muscat, Oman.
Technical Requirements
A bachelor of science in computer science or
software engineering, or
a similar discipline. Technical certifications with experience will
also be considered in place of a specific degree in this field.
