Product Carbon Footprint Assessment and Reporting

Three Pillars Consulting supported Oman India Fertiliser Company in quantifying and reporting the carbon footprint of selected fertilizer and ammonia products in alignment with ISO 14067, the GHG Protocol Product Standard, and life-cycle assessment (LCA) principles. The assessment covered a cradle-to-gate boundary, with methodologies tailored to the fertilizer and ammonia manufacturing sector and OMIFCO’s production context, including process emissions, energy use, and upstream input materials. The engagement included data collection and validation, emissions factor application, and scenario analysis to identify emissions reduction opportunities across the product life cycle. The resulting footprint enabled transparent product-level reporting and internal performance benchmarking, while providing a robust basis for low-carbon product strategy and future environmental product disclosures.
