Project Description

Three Pillars Consulting supported the client in quantifying and reporting the carbon footprint of key products or services in alignment with international standards and life-cycle assessment (LCA) principles. This included data collection, emissions factor application, and scenario analysis to identify reduction opportunities. The project provided a clear and actionable footprint report, enabling the client to improve sustainability performance, communicate environmental impact transparently, and guide low-carbon product strategy.

Product Carbon Footprint Assessment and Reporting

Three Pillars Consulting supported Wakud in quantifying the carbon footprint of selected manufactured products, including biodiesel, in alignment with ISO 14067 and life-cycle assessment (LCA) principles. The assessment followed a cradle-to-gate approach, tailored to Wakud’s biodiesel production processes, associated feedstock inputs, and supporting utilities within the industrial manufacturing context.

The engagement included primary data collection and validation across processing stages, application of relevant emissions factors for bio-based fuels, and scenario analysis to identify emissions hotspots within the production chain. The resulting footprint enabled product-level performance benchmarking and provided insight into the carbon intensity of biodiesel production, supporting future optimization, compliance readiness, and low-carbon fuel positioning strategies.
