Project Description

Three Pillars Consulting supported the client in quantifying and reporting the carbon footprint of key products or services in alignment with international standards and life-cycle assessment (LCA) principles. This included data collection, emissions factor application, and scenario analysis to identify reduction opportunities. The project provided a clear and actionable footprint report, enabling the client to improve sustainability performance, communicate environmental impact transparently, and guide low-carbon product strategy.

Product Carbon Footprint Assessment and Reporting

Three Pillars Consulting supported Oman Cables Industry, including its subsidiaries Oman Aluminium Processing Industries LLC (OAPIL) and Aluminium Cable & Processing Industries LLC (ACPL), in quantifying and reporting the carbon footprint of selected cable products in alignment with ISO 14067 and life-cycle assessment (LCA) principles. The assessment followed a cradle-to-gate approach, with methodologies tailored to the electrical cables and conductors manufacturing sector and the client’s energy- and material-intensive production processes across the group’s manufacturing facilities.

The engagement included data collection and validation across subsidiaries, emissions factor application, and scenario analysis to identify opportunities for emissions reduction across raw materials, manufacturing, and energy use. The resulting footprint enabled transparent product-level reporting and internal benchmarking, while providing a robust basis for low-carbon product strategies, enhanced stakeholder communication, and future environmental product declarations.
