Project Description

Three Pillars Consulting supported the client in developing a comprehensive corporate carbon accounting system in line with international GHG protocols and best practices. This included scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions data collection, calculation methodologies, verification processes, and reporting guidance. The engagement enabled the client to accurately track and report emissions, identify reduction opportunities, and strengthen corporate sustainability performance for investors, regulators, and other stakeholders.

Three Pillars Consulting supported Liwa Plastics in developing a comprehensive corporate carbon accounting approach aligned with international standards and best practices, including the GHG Protocol. The engagement covered Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions, with methodologies tailored to the petrochemicals and plastics manufacturing sector and the client’s energy- and material-intensive operations, including polymer production processes, utilities, fuel use, and site-level electricity consumption. This ensured emissions were quantified in a consistent and transparent manner, reflecting real organizational and operational boundaries.

The work included the development of data collection frameworks, application of emissions calculation methodologies, quality checks, and reporting guidance to support internal decision-making and external disclosures. The resulting carbon inventory enabled accurate emissions tracking and baseline establishment, while providing a robust foundation for future decarbonization planning, performance monitoring, and integration of sustainability considerations into long-term petrochemical operations.
