Technical and Advisory Support for LEED Green Building Certification

Our team members are LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED AP) that can provide support and guide you through the entire LEED Certification Process starting from the early concept design all the way through implementation of the construction.

  • What Is LEED?

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is the leading international program and rating system for sustainable building design and construction. The LEED rating systems are developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and cover a range of project types including Building Design and Construction (BD+C, New Construction and Major Renovations), Interior Design and Construction (ID+C, Complete Interior Fit-Out), Building Operations and Maintenance (O+M, Existing Buildings), Neighborhood Development (ND, New Land Development and Redevelopment Projects), Homes (Single Family, Low-Rise Multi-Family, or Mid-Rise Multi-Family), Cities and Communities (Entire Cities)

  • Attaining LEED certification demonstrates environmentally responsible building practices and legitimizes that a building has attained the claims of sustainability that it makes. As the world shifts towards a low-carbon economy with a circular economy focus, more attention has been given to how we construct and operate buildings. Implementation of Green Building Principles can help reduce waste, lower the carbon emissions of the building’s life-cycle, reduce water consumption, increase indoor air quality, among many other aspects.

  • There are 4 levels of LEED Certification, including Certified (40-49 Points), Silver (50-59 Points), Gold (60-79 Points), and Platinum (80+ Points). Projects get awarded different levels based on how many credits they fulfill from a LEED Scorecard. A LEED Scorecard consists roughly of 9 different Credit Categories and 110 different credit options. The different categories that your project could attain credits in are: Integrative Process, Location and Transportation, Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmopshere, Materials and Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, Innovation, and Regional Priority Credits. A full list of the credits can be found here.
